Pingoo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Pingoo mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Name, username, email address, and profile photo when you register.
- Location Data: Approximate or precise location to show you nearby users and moods (only when you grant permission).
- Mood & Content: Mood posts, audio recordings, and any content you choose to share.
- Messages: Chat messages sent between users.
- Device Information: Device type, OS version, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
- Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, and crash reports to improve the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Pingoo service
- To show you nearby users and mood content
- To send push notifications for messages, likes, and activity
- To process in-app purchases and coin transactions
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To enforce our Terms of Service and keep the platform safe
3. Location Data
Pingoo requests access to your device's location to enable the "Discover Nearby" feature. Location is only used while the app is in use and is never shared with third parties for advertising. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service Providers: Firebase (notifications, database), cloud hosting providers — only to operate the service.
- Other Users: Your public profile, mood posts, and username are visible to other Pingoo users.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect the safety of users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings, which will permanently remove your data from our servers within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Pingoo is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. If we become aware that a user under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure cloud infrastructure to protect your data.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of push notifications via device settings
